PR Book Club

Today the PR team is celebrating the end of our first book club. We’ve been reading “Putting the Public Back in Public Relations” for the last couple of months and discussing where our industry is headed and the various tools to get us there.

Book 026

More than the content of the book itself, it’s been a great way to start the conversations in our agency about social media. We’ve been able to talk to different departments and share new ideas for our clients, using the book as a reference.

We’re bridging the gap between online and offline, marketing and PR, clients and consumers. We get to help our clients make that next step.

Just as we were finishing our last couple of chapters, we were able to connect offline and online worlds in our own consumer experience. While attending the IS Conference Amanda and I had the opportunity to meet Brian Solis and share thoughts on the book. We even have a little solis screenshotcameo on the conference wrap-up video (around 1:36, we’re the “everyone” in “everyone wanted to meet Brian Solis”).

Now we’re looking for the next step for our book club. What would you recommend as a good book for the PR team?
