Good news.
The Harris County Healthcare Alliance, together with UnitedHealthcare and Community Health Choice recently launched the TexHealth Harris County 3-Share Plan, designed to offer affordable health benefits for uninsured employees of small businesses in the county.
It’s newsworthy, it’s relevant, it helps people. We love it.
Our job from day one was to create the atmosphere of success for the public unveiling of the initiative: research the facts, anticipate all questions, inform the appropriate people, cross the t’s and dot the i’s, get the media interested, get them there, and help them get the word out. And that’s what we always do. We make it easy for our clients and their key stakeholders (among them, the press) to share news, and we remove stress so that our clients can carry out the mission of their organizations, unencumbered.
In our weeks of details and deadlines, there came a point for pause. For 25 minutes or so, the eye of the storm hovered over us as the press conference took place. In that room, with major media from throughout the region capturing the event on video and paper, we were able to reflect with our clients on their accomplishment: their years of work and planning to bring the initiative to fruition. We’re proud to have been a part of it and to have witnessed the emotion and excitement — and prouder still to see all of the resulting headlines and major TV news segments about the 3-Share Plan.
Now back in the storm of followup calls, media coverage, enthusiasm and inquiries, it feels appropriate to take another pause to share the experience. A little look behind the scenes:
