One of our more recent design projects are recruitment pieces for the University of Houston’s Central Campus. Adrienne Adair has been the main art director for the account and from the beginning both she and I have felt particularly suited for the job.
We’re both alumni. I graduated in 1991 and Adrienne in 1996 with BFAs in Graphic Communications. So with this piece we wanted to convey all the great things about UH that we know to be true from personal experience. UH has all the academic advantages of a tier-one institution and combined with the energy and diversity of campus life in a major city; it is an exciting place to go to school.
The photographs are real students in real academic settings. The design is clean allowing the user to find information more quickly. Take a look at the finished book- we hope it feels a lot like taking a look around campus.
Love the amazing back cover photograph. Great shot and cool art installation!
