One of my favorite traditions at MMI has taken place over the last couple of weeks – the bank decorating contest and party! Each year, MMIers decorate banks in creative ways for the contest. We invite clients to the judging party to mix, mingle, sip cocoa and of course enjoy Adrienne’s homemade cupcakes. The judges choose our winning bank, and MMI’ers vote for and donate money to the selected charity.
Charities up for nomination this year (drum roll please):
Susan G. Komen for the Cure
The Arrow Project
Houston SPCA
Down Syndrome Association of Houston (DSAH)
Trafficked Persons’ Assistance Program
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Corridor Rescue
Little Footprints
This year’s winners:
Third Place: “Filet-o-Fish” by Marina!

Second Place: “The CodFather” by Analisa!

First Place: “JellyFish” by Lauren!

The competition is a fun way to raise money for a good cause (and show off our creativity). This year’s nominees are all deserving of charitable donations and we’d like to take this chance to encourage everyone to consider a donation to any of these wonderful organizations.
This year’s winning charity:
Corridor Rescue, a Houston non-profit organization on a Houston animal mission. The mission works to save lives and correct an injustice to animals who have been thrown away and left, often times injured and starving, to fend for themselves in the I/59 and Little York area of Houston. This area has been dubbed the “corridor of cruelty” because of the hundreds of physically and emotionally damaged animals in the fight of their lives to simply survive another day.
