MMI Strategy and Implementation
The TIAA-CREF Distinguished Medical Educator Award (DMEA) is give annually to a medical educator whose work and educational contributions have had national and international influence, and set a standard of excellence in the medical community. The DMEA program is avidly supported and promoted by a committee of key professionals representing the majority of TIAA-CREF targeted medical institutions. MMI coordinated and managed all aspects of the event including:

  • Researching and securing a venue
  • Coordinating catering, decorations and A/V needs
  • Creating an event invitation, program and signage
  • Handling distribution of invitations and RSVPs
  • Creating a video tribute to the honoree
  • Securing a photographer and string quartet for event
  • Obtaining pre- and post-event press coverage

Event Results
The TIAA-CREF Distinguished Medical Educator Award Banquet was attended by a virtual Who’s Who of the Texas Medical Center institutions. MMI also secured extensive coverage in local and national healthcare media outlets.
